After months of work behind the scenes, Gro Clinics Perth has opened its doors with the first Perth hair transplant surgeries already completed.
Our goal at Gro is to offer a premium hair transplantation service locally to patients across Australia. Over the years, we’ve had a steady stream of patients travelling from Western Australia to get surgeries done at our Sydney and Melbourne clinics.
Now, we are excited to be able to offer the same service in Perth. Operations are in full swing with procedures booked out until July 2022.
Here’s the low-down on everything you need to know about the new clinic before visiting us for your personal hair transplant consultation, from the team launching the operations to what to expect from the facilities.
The clinic is located at Suite 2, 216 Stirling Highway, Claremont, WA, 6010, a modern and spacious medical facility.
Claremont, known for its parklands and views over the Swan River, is a mere 15-minute drive from Perth CBD.
When entering the clinic, clients are welcomed into a sprawling reception space with comfortable seating and a custom green wall.
The project kicked off in October 2021, but the border closure resulted in unexpected challenges. Despite our team being unable to travel to WA, Project Manager Madison Maves succeeded in setting up the clinic completely remotely from Melbourne.

As with our other clinics, the Gro Perth team consists of qualified doctors and nurses, highly trained assistants, as well as a stellar group of support staff.
Our operations in WA have taken off with the help of experienced team members from other states, as well as local experts who have joined the team.
Dr TJ from Gro Clinics Melbourne clinic has travelled to Perth to perform procedures for the first three months, after which Dr Josh will relocate to Perth. Dr Shalina is set to join him later in the year.
Perth-based Rehan Alikhan has come on board as a Hair Growth Specialist, offering consultations in the lead up to the clinic opening. The medical team was able to jump in with a fully booked calendar once they were able to enter the state.
Rehan Alikhan joins the Gro Perth team as Hair Growth Specialist with 20 years of experience.
A former professional cricketer in the UK, Rehan has been in the hair restoration industry for over twenty years. After an acquaintance of his started wearing a wig to cover up hair loss, Rehan thought there must be better options available – and discovered the world of hair transplants.
What he appreciates the most about Gro is the investment put into the training of nurses and doctors. Each Gro doctor is trained exactly the same, and they never start doing procedures solo until they’re fully ready.
“That, to me, showed a commitment to excellence, not just the bottom line,” Rehan explains.
During consultations, Rehan looks at more than the obvious hair loss on top of the head. He also estimates how much hair a person is going to lose in the future by checking for miniaturising. The donor area and width of the hair shafts are also assessed.
At the end of a consultation, you’ll know:
If there’s an issue with the cost, our team can help with financing and payment plans.
“The consultation is incredibly thorough and precise,” Rehan explains.
“We’re not trying to sell you anything, we’re trying to assess, make things available and let you make an informed and educated decision as to what you want. There’s absolutely no pressure on anybody to do anything… If you’re not suitable you will 100% be told you’re not suitable and we will try to find you another option.”
