The Gold Coast has long been a holiday destination known for some of the best beaches in the world. Now thanks to Gro it is also known as a destination you can travel to to have a hair transplant Gold Coast.
On this page you will find important information if you are travelling to the Gold Coast to make booking your trip easier and a more enjoyable stay in Southeast Queensland.
One of the first things you will want to do is book your accommodation on the Gold Coast. We suggest you book in Benowa or surrounding suburbs like Ashmore, Benowa Waters, Bundall, Surfers Paradise or Broadbeach. There are many Gold Coast accommodation choices to suit your budget, from AirBNB options to hotels, motels and apartments. Our Gold Coast clinic is located in Benowa, so make sure you stay in Benowa or take a short ride or taxi ride to your accommodation on the day of your hair transplant. Take traffic into account on weekdays when selecting accommodation, too. For a lower-end 2-3 star room, expect to pay from $100 per night, up to $400+ for a higher-end hotel. The price of accommodation on the Gold Coast will change during the year with tourist numbers increasing closer to Christmas.
The Gold Coast airport is about 45 minutes from Benowa and the Brisbane airport is 1.5 hours from the Benowa depending on traffic. Many hotels will be able to book an airport transfer for you.
If you arrive early into the Gold Coast and you would like some suggestions of what to do, we have you covered and you will not be left with nothing to do! We’ve mentioned some of the major landmarks and attractions. Make sure that you have time to visit the Gold Coast clinic to meet the team or ask any questions you may have at the last minute.
An important note if you do arrive early and will be exploring the Gold Coast. As you will have head, the Gold Coast is known for its beaches. While you are allowed to swim at the beach on the days before your hair transplant surgery, it is important you don’t get sunburnt. Make sure you wear sunscreen and a wide brimmed hat. Another precaution to take if you are going to enjoy the beach, the waves can often dump you when body surfing, so make sure you don’t graze your head on the seafloor when swimming.
If you want to feel on top of the world (on the Gold Coast) then there is no better place than the Skypoint Observation deck. A short taxi/ uber ride from Gro Gold Coast in Surfers Paradise. SkyPoint is an observation deck located over 200m off the ground at the top of the Q1 one of the iconic buildings in Surfers on the Gold Coast, Australia. This tourist hot spot is operated by Ardent Leisure.
While there are many, many theme parks on the Gold Coast, we have selected Sea World as a suggestion due to the lower risk of getting injured or sunburnt. Others are Dreamworld, Wet’n’Wild and Movie World. The reason we picked Sea World is because there are no rides that will jar your neck or water slides to cause injury or increase the risk of sunburn. Sea World includes rides, animal exhibits and other attractions, and it promotes conservation through education and the rescue and rehabilitation of sick, injured or orphaned wildlife.
If you like nature and the outdoors or you like hiking then the Gold Coast has some of the most beautiful rainforest hiking on offer. Springbrook National Park is a protected national park in the hinterland of Queensland, Australia, on the Gold Coast. On the McPherson Range near Springbrook, about 100 km south of Brisbane, lies the 6,000 hectare nature park. The park is part of a UNESCO World Heritage-listed Shield Volcano Group.
