One of the first things you will want to do is book your accommodation on the Gold Coast. We suggest you book in Benowa or surrounding suburbs like Ashmore, Benowa Waters, Bundall, Surfers Paradise or Broadbeach. There are many Gold Coast accommodation choices to suit your budget, from AirBNB options to hotels, motels and apartments. Our Gold Coast clinic is located in Benowa, so make sure you stay in Benowa or take a short ride or taxi ride to your accommodation on the day of your hair transplant. Take traffic into account on weekdays when selecting accommodation, too. For a lower-end 2-3 star room, expect to pay from $100 per night, up to $400+ for a higher-end hotel. The price of accommodation on the Gold Coast will change during the year with tourist numbers increasing closer to Christmas.
The Gold Coast airport is about 45 minutes from Benowa and the Brisbane airport is 1.5 hours from the Benowa depending on traffic. Many hotels will be able to book an airport transfer for you.

An important note if you do arrive early and will be exploring the Gold Coast. As you will have head, the Gold Coast is known for its beaches. While you are allowed to swim at the beach on the days before your hair transplant surgery, it is important you don’t get sunburnt. Make sure you wear sunscreen and a wide brimmed hat. Another precaution to take if you are going to enjoy the beach, the waves can often dump you when body surfing, so make sure you don’t graze your head on the seafloor when swimming.
