Weather in Brisbane

The weather in Brisbane is considered mild compared to other cities further south in Australia such as Canberra, Melbourne or Sydney. During the summer months, there is often a high chance of storms that can bring high rainfall in a short period of time and potentially hailstones. So make sure you check the local forecast if you are planning transport too and from your surgery, or in the days before your surgery if you will be sightseeing.

What to do in Brisbane

Brisbane is located on the Brisbane River. The Brisbane River is also called the Maiwar by some Aboriginal tribes. The Brisbane river or Maiwar is the longest river in South-East Queensland, Australia. It flows through the centre of Brisbane city, winding its way through Brisbane and surrounding suburbs, exiting into Moreton Bay on the Coral Sea.

If you plan to explore Brisbane by arriving early in Queensland, you will find many things to explore. Make sure you allow time to visit the Brisbane clinic in Spring Hill to meet the team or ask any last-minute questions you might have. When you are out an about in Brisbane, it is important to make sure you are covered from the sun. Especially the area you will be having your surgery on. The Brisbane or Queensland sun is especially damaging if you do not cover-up. The last thing we want is for your donor area or recipient area of your hair transplant to get sunburnt before your Australian hair transplant surgery.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long after a beard transplant can I shave?

You can begin shaving your face with a razor four weeks post-procedure. One of our nurses will give you full post-operative care instructions on the day of the procedure.

Why is it important to have a doctor perform a beard hair transplant?

As with a hair transplant for a receding hairline, you want to ensure a natural-looking result that is undetectable once the transplanted hairs have grown through. To achieve a natural look, each of the implanted hairs has to follow the same pattern as the other beard hairs. Our PFP hair transplant technique gives the doctor full control over the depth, direction and angle of each hair that is implanted.

How much does a beard transplant cost?

The price of a beard transplant will depend on many factors – the provider’s experience, customer service, the hair transplantation method used, level of care and the extent of your hair loss, for example. Everyone’s situation is different, so it’s best to book a consultation, where you’ll be given all the information needed to help you make the right choice for you, including pricing.

How many grafts do I need for a beard transplant?

The number of hair grafts you need will depend on your goals and how much existing facial hair you have. For example, filling in a patchy beard requires less grafts than a complete beard transplant. The best place to start is a consultation with a Gro Hair Growth Specialist. Consultations can be done in-clinic or online.
