Hair Restoration Transplants – The Gro Difference

Hair Restoration Transplants – The Gro Difference

Hair transplants have come a long way in the last decade, with increasing levels of success and lower rates of complications. It would be fair to say that hair transplants are more accessible now than ever before. The current methods are good, but we believe that the Gro procedure is superior to any other method available. It is low risk, painless, leaves no scars and provides a permanent solution to hair loss.

In fact, don’t take our word for it, click here to see a video from Alex’s full patient journey before, during and after his Gro procedure in, watch now.

This article explains why our success rates are consistently higher than the industry standard, no matter which Gro Australia clinic you attend.

If you suffer from hair loss, answer these 3 questions to discover the best treatment option for you.

What is Gro Micro-transplant Technique?

The basic theory of hair transplantation is that healthy donor hair follicles are taken from an area that is genetically resistant to balding – usually low down on the back of the head. The donor follicles are transplanted by inserting them into many small cuts made in the treatment area. Once the cuts have healed, the follicles start producing hair.

With Gro Microsurgery, the follicles are extracted with a specialised tool designed to minimise damage to the hair follicle and surrounding scalp tissue. This means no scapels, no stitches and no scars to cover up. Individual follicles are kept in a growth solution (HypoThermosolTM) at a constant temperature to ensure optimum development and growth after placement. We do not make cuts in the treatment area – the donor follicles are implanted using another specialised tool, the special implanter, that allows the Gro doctor to control depth, direction and angle of placement.

The Difference

It isn’t just our highly innovative Gro micro-transplant method that makes Gro Australia stand out from the rest. From beginning to end, the Gro difference means that each client receives treatment that is tailored specifically to them and their individual circumstances. Where else in your treatment will you experience the Gro difference?

Diagnosis – we recognise that the correct diagnosis is the basis for successful and permanent treatment. We treat everyone as an individual. Your treatment needs will be determined by four different factors:

  • Psychological
  • Medical
  • Aesthetic
  • Mathematical (ratio of available donor follicles to area needing treatment).

Attention to detail – hair doesn’t naturally grow straight out of your head, it grows at different angles and directions. Our specially designed Implanter allows the Gro Doctor to control the depth, angle and direction of implant, so your new hair growth looks completely natural.

Survival vs Success – success can be measured by the survival rate of the transplant. We routinely achieve over 90% survival of the transplants – the industry range is 50-90%. The high rate of survival is achieved by keeping hair follicles in HypoThermosolTM solution, which has been used for several years in major organ transplant procedures. By maximising hair survival rate, we don’t need to remove and transplant as many follicles because a greater number of them will survive to produce new hair growth. This also preserves more donor follicles available for transplant in the future. See a related article Success Vs Survival Rate Difference In Hair Transplants

No stiches, no scars – smaller diameter tools mean less pain, less trauma and faster healing.

Permanent Solutions – we use donor follicles from areas of the hair where hair loss is rare, so the follicles are genetically programmed for survival. Your new hair will continue to grow in a natural way for the rest of your life.
